I am proud of Amani’s strong determination to experience the natural birthing process. I know she is one strong willed woman. I worked with her in KFSH NICU.

Thanks man for all the help. You guys are so generous and kind. We don’t have family out here, but you guys treated us way better than what our families would have. Amani & I are tremendously for your efforts and hope we can repay you in the future 🙂

Awesome! I have no words to express what am feeling after this awesome read!
This here describes what I have been doing for one and a half years, we called it ‘giving back the freedom’
I worked as an independent midwife in a birthing facility, and we would deliver VBAC moms when hospitals and doctors declined to support their VBAC plans, we prepared them mentally and physically.
If I continue I may write 100s of pages if not thousands, coz its my area of passion..
Congratulations to you Amani and the kids!

Oh wow, I encourage you to write and help others. you are an expert opinion in this matter. I remember when Amani used to surf the web day and night looking for testimonials of people who had similar experiences. Amani was looking for someone who had the same thoughts, she wanted someone to tell her that she is not crazy to put such goals.

Great story!!! Amani you are such a strong woman full with determination and temptation.. Amani you are such a brave mother. Nothing like how mother sacrifice, you both had faith in God and you got what you wanted, sure it wasn’t easy!! I will definitely be sharing your story with other women because it’s so encouraging. Congrats to your new bundle of joy and enjoy!!!

Suzan thanks for your comment and for sharing the blog. I am sure you are as brave as Amani, with the same kind of determination and perseverance. What I learned from those 3 pregnancy experiences, is that you can never doubt a mother’s intuition. Providers should take their worries and desire seriously and not just nod their heads. Thanks again for reading the whole blog 🙂

What a beautiful story and very well written! Congratulation to you both. She is Blessed to have such a wonderful supportive and loving husband. You should be a writer. I worked with Amani in the NICU in Saudi. So happy for you. This story will help others ❤️

Desiree, thank you for the kind words. My main concern was for Amani to be happy and realize a dream that has been long time coming. This meant a lot to her and though I was terrified, still I wanted to support her in every way I can. Yes this post will help other, you know and I know that there are zillion of women out there who were not given a fair chance to deliver normally.
      please share the blog. Thanks

Hey Donna, thank you for your lovely comment. I know, I really wrote this blog post with a fire in my heart. This experience meant a lot to Amani and I. I really wanted to share this to send a message to all mothers who get manipulated by stupid indications for c-section especially in the Gulf & Middle East area.

Wonderful story! Congratulations to you and your family! I admit though I wanted to wrestle Dr DM to the ground and pound out that “big risk of rupture” and “dead baby” talk. That is beyond inappropriate as well as not factual. I hope you wrote a complaint about her. Good for you both standing up to her!

I had a c section in 1992 then again in 1994.. I felt like a failure because I wasn’t able to give birth vaginally..I can so totally relate to this story… So my next pregnancy I was bound and determined to have a vaginally delivery… In 1997 I had my first VAGINAL delivery.. and had no complications what so ever!!!and another vaginal delivery in 1999.. then I had an emergency c-section in 2007 because I was having twins and they were stressed and had to be born.
